Two new partners are beefing up Hamilton Locke’s regulatory and disputes offering in Sydney and Melbourne.

Alistair Newton hails from Corrs Chambers Westgarth. He concentrates on competition and consumer law and brings over 15 years of transactional, advisory, and litigation experience from his stints not just in Australia but in the UK as well when he worked with Slaughter and May. He has advised clients in the sectors of digital and media, FMCG, health, and manufacturing.

Tim Grave was a partner at Clifford Chance for over 10 years and co-led its Australian regulatory investigations and financial crime team. He has handled large-scale complex disputes and contentious regulatory and corporate investigations.

In particular, he acts for large corporates and C-suite individuals in the financial services sector. He previously worked with Chang, Pistilli & Simmons and Herbert Smith Freehills.

Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey explained that the new partners were coming in in line with “increasing client demand for both front and back end regulatory and disputes advice and services”.
