Former HWL Ebsworth partner Bede Gahan has made the jump to Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) as an employment and labour partner in Canberra.

While at HWL Ebsworth, he oversaw its Commonwealth government workplace relations and safety practice. He brings extensive experience in handling Commonwealth public sector workplace relations issues.

Gahan has advised Commonwealth government departments and agencies. He has tackled industrial relations and enterprise bargaining, the management of ill and injured employees, complaints and grievances, workplace investigations, unlawful discrimination complaints, public interest disclosures, and work, health and safety concerns.

He has conducted trials in the Federal Court and the Federal Circuit Court, and has appeared before the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Gahan also logged a decade-long tenure at MinterEllison.
