Lander & Rogers practice co-head signs on with NRF

Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) has appointed former Lander & Rogers national digital economy practice co-head Lisa Fitzgerald as the newest partner for its Melbourne office.

Fitzgerald joins NRF’s technology team. She concentrates on TMT and IP rights and privacy matters, particularly in the technology, financial services, telecommunications, consumer and digital markets, health, and pharmaceuticals sectors.

She has experience handling cross-border transactions and advising clients looking to expand into domestic and international markets. She has helped global and domestic clients through the complexities of Australia's regulatory environment, including privacy and data protection, competition and consumer law, therapeutic goods, prudential standards, telecommunications, and security of critical infrastructure regulations.

Additionally, Fitzgerald has provided guidance on large-scale procurement, outsourcing, product launches and localisation, IP commercialisation, the characterisation of payments/royalties, and AI.

She holds qualifications to practise law in both Australia and the UK, and she has worked across London, Sydney and Melbourne. She also held roles at Allens and Gilbert + Tobin in Australia, as well as at Pinsent Masons in London.

“The rapid pace of technological change, including the digital transformation of industries, the growth of AI and increased cyber risks, is impacting all clients and placing increasing demands on our firm to provide seamless domestic and cross-border advice. The addition of a highly accomplished international practitioner in Lisa Fitzgerald will provide a significant boost to our technology, financial institutions, telco and health and pharmaceuticals clients”, NRF Australia CEP Alison Deitz said.
